Making a Magic Show is such a brilliant experience. Creating this piece with Ali Cook was incredibly inspiring – his skill, dedication and attention to detail is second to none and we were so pleased with these gorgeous photos of the process taken by Mark Senior.

My top three behind the scenes highlights:

Having to stand in for ALL the audience members (James and I making up LISTS of random names to put Ali on the spot and get him remembering everyone)

Filling up a water tank using three kettles and a hose that doesn’t QUITE attach to the tap, then making it too hot and breaking off an ICEBERG from the freezer to drop in and cool it down..

Running Grand Illusions with no blackout or ability to focus the audience’s attention – over and over again in the studio – and still being as amazed as I was the first time.
